Windsor - The American quarter horse

Keri and Windsor allowed me to meet up with them on an early morning Friday at sunrise. I appreciated the calm and reverence of the farm in Leander where the horses are stabled.

Keri uses her access to Windsor to re-center and find the calm necessary to keep up with the wild life of civilization. There is always something about the grand and beautiful nature of the horse that brings me peace as well. From a very young age, I have longed for the companionship of our equine friends. Growing up I would ride my bicycle over to a couple of neighbors to care for and ride their horses. I understand the importance of the work Keri is doing with Windsor.

Retired sometime back from the racing circuit, they pair up to spend time together and pass that time creating positivity and garnering love for their relationship. As I watch the morning unfold, I'm brought back to my childhood and that feeling of being with them resurfaces. It's funny how we let time get away and do not fully act on the path that is often placed in front of us.
